Chained Rose Quartz

 These earrings are a new design, one I created to show off some really great beads like these in rose quartz. 

The design is quite simple, just two barely pink beads dangling from delicate sterling silver chain. The ear wires and other findings are also sterling silver. 

The larger bead is a cylinder shape with six flat sides, and the smaller bead is round. 

Overall, the earrings are just under 3 inches in length, measuring from the top of the ear wire.

Jade Triplets

 Here's another variation on my "triplets" design, this one in jade.

This pair is really dramatic, with three different shapes of jade beads--square, round, and a rondelle--on sterling silver wires of graduated lengths. The ear wires and other findings are also sterling silver. 

These earrings look especially good with short hair, or long hair that is styled up and out of the way.

Chained Amethysts

  These earrings are a new design I worked out the other day to show off some great amethyst beads. 

The design is quite simple, just two beautiful beads dangling from delicate sterling silver chain. The ear wires and other findings are also sterling silver. 

The larger bead is an amethyst coin; it is about a half inch in size. The smaller bead is an amethyst-colored crystal, to give a bit of sparkle. Overall, these are 2 3/4 inches long from the top of the ear wire.

Dramatic Earrings in Amber

 Amber is not, strictly speaking, a gemstone. It is fossilized tree resin. 

I love amber for its color and feel, although this is the first jewelry made with amber that I've put on my Web site. 

These earrings are really special. I wore a pair to Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, and the earrings alone made me feel dressed up and festive.

These are a variation on my "dramatic earrings"--Three amber beads of graduated sizes and graduated color dangle inside linked sterling silver rings. 

There is a tiny sterling silver flower at the bottom of each earring. The french ear wires are also sterling silver. 

They are quite dramatic without being too flashy. 

I have two pairs of the amber earrings.

Christmas Jewelry: Christmas Tree Bracelet

 I paired this vintage Christmas tree charm with sterling silver chain and bright green jade beads. 

The charm is enamel on sterling silver and was probably made in the 1980s. 

The bracelet has two strands: one that I made with green jade beads, jump rings, and sterling silver wire. The other is a sterling silver chain of connecting diamonds.

The one-of-a-kind bracelet closes with a handmade S-clasp and adjusts to fit most wrists. 

I added a green glass leaf and coral holly berries to the strand for a little extra Christmas cheer.

Onyx Triplets

I seem to be in love with this design, and I've made several different "triplet" earrings with various gemstones recently. 

But I keep coming back to the black onyx. I think it's the glossy surface of the beads. And the perfect proportions, especially the square beads, which I use quite often.

Fluorite Triplets: Only Two Pairs Left

UPDATE: I'VE SOLD THREE PAIRS OF THESE, AND MADE A PAIR FOR MYSELF, SO I ONLY HAVE TWO PAIRS LEFT. 

I bought a strand of beautiful fluorite beads when I was in Omaha recently, and these earrings are the first thing that I've made with them. 

Flourite is a crystal that comes in various colors. This one strand of beads has beads that are a light blue-green, clear, and a pale purple, and I used one of each color in the earrings. The beads are cylindrical in shape and I think this design shows them off perfectly!

The wires, beads, and ear wires are sterling silver, as always, and you can order these earrings with the ear wire shown, or with french ear wires.

Rocking Horse Bracelet: Detail: SOLD

Here's a close-up of the clasp and findings I used in the rocking horse bracelet. 

The multiple strands of turquoise and chrysocolla are tucked into tubes of Thai silver, which actually has a higher silver content than sterling silver. 

The clasp is adjustable, and I attached some Thai silver and turquoise beads to the extender for a little extra bling.

Rocking Horse Bracelet: SOLD

 The delicately made charm is sterling silver and dates to the 1950s. It originally had green paint or enamel on the saddle, and there is just a touch of that left.

I paired the charm with four strands of turquoise and chrysocolla beads in different shapes, and tucked the ends of the strands into straight-sided Thai silver "cones." 

The bracelet closes with a sterling silver toggle and is adjustable to fit wrists from about 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 inches.
