This necklace is a special order for a friend of mine who liked the beads I used in some of the bracelets I made for the Cattlemen's Ball last June.
My friend was visiting last week, and we were working on designing some jewelry for her to give as Christmas gifts, when she asked me if I still had those great glass beads. I did, as it turned out, and we worked out a design that both of us were happy with.
The chain and handmade clasp are sterling silver, and the glass beads are handmade, although not by me.
My understanding is that her husband is giving her this necklace for her birthday. Of course, she told him what he was giving her. That's not the first time I've had a woman let me know that her guy would be buying a specific piece from me. I think it's sweet.
