More Scrabble Tiles

 The Queen of Hearts bracelet has sold, along with one pair of the matching earrings (actually, the woman who bought the bracelet asked me to make it into a necklace instead, and I'm happy to do that). 

I still have three Scrabble tiles from the same workshop, all with bright red designs. They include a Japanese "beckoning cat," a retro bicycle, and a juicy-looking apple. 

Choose the tile you want, and I can make you either a double-strand bracelet or a single-strand necklace using the red magnesite.

Price for either a bracelet or necklace is $100, which includes taxes, postage, and insurance to U.S. destinations.

Kitty Needs a Home

 I've had this little sterling silver cat for awhile now, and she really needs a new home!

I've made several bracelets with vintage cat charms, and they all seem to turn out well. Here are a couple of examples:

Playful Kitten With Rose Quartz: SOLD

 This necklace was a special order for the daughter of a friend of mine who is a cat lover. 

I got lucky when I found this unique vintage charm, a kitten wrapped around a ball of rose quartz. The charm, which is probably @1960s, is very nicely made--the kitten even has pads on the bottoms of his feet!

The necklace has two strands. The shorter strand has rose quartz beads spaced with jump rings and is choker length. 

The second strand is a sterling silver chain that is just the right weight to balance the size of the charm. 

The necklace closes with a handmade sterling silver hook, and the extender chain is weighted with a crystal and a rose quartz bead.

Cat in a Garbage Can

I made this one-of-a-kind bracelet as a special gift for Amy's 7-year-old daughter, and I was really pleased with how it turned out. It's in the mail, on its way to California as I write this. 

The vintage charm is a special one: a tiny cat peeking out of a garbage can. The lid of the can opens and closes, making it a "mechanical" charm.

The style of the bracelet is similar to several I've made in adult sizes, but I used smaller turquoise rondelles in order to scale it for a young girl's wrist. 

And I added an extender chain to the clasp so that she will be able to wear it for a long, long time.

Animal Talk Rescue Auction: My Auction Item: SOLD

I made this bracelet to donate to the Animal Talk Auction, which is tomorrow night. 

Animal Talk rescues feral and abandoned cats and kittens, treats any medical conditions they may have, spays and neuters them, and finds them new homes. 

The one-of-a-kind bracelet has a unique vintage charm--it's a @1960s "mechanical" charm of a cat climbing up on a garbage can. When you open the can, a fish skeleton pops out! Perfect for a "feral cat charm bracelet."

The charm came from England. 

The bracelet is three strands of sterling silver and black onyx beads in various shapes and sizes. It closes with a handmade clasp, and adjusts to fit most wrists. 

Value: $150.
